Vegas, here I come

As I sit here bored on the plane, I have to wonder what this year’s Interbike will be like. This year’s edition will be much different than past years. Last year, I took the year off as I switched jobs and the 3 years before that I attended the show with Michelin. My job with Michelin was to stand in a 20×40 booth (maybe I was a bit bigger, who knows, it felt like it was the size of a shoe box) and talk to dealers about the new product we were putting out, talk about the dealer programs and just spread the Michelin word to anyone that would hear me.

This year, I have meetings set up every hour with different companies to see new product, discuss pricing and listen to the sale pitches of the folks in their booth. I then take all that info and decide what product my company will be selling. Plus, I need to keep my eye out for new and “hot” products and companies that I might think would be worth while to try and sell.

It is certainly going to be a different experience, that is for sure. But either way, its 3 days running around Vegas, checking out all kinds of cool bike products and catching up with friends of years past. I can’t wait.

I will try to make some posts and take as many pictures as I can, so stay tuned, especially to my twitter account as I am sure that will get used much more.
