Things here have been pretty status quo since the 24 hours of Pat’s Peak race. On the riding end, I am just keeping the fitness up with a bunch of riding, including another 6.5 hour, 4 notch ride. I had planned on a 10 hour ride, but my back limited how long I could actually pedal the bike. I have never really been all that happy with my road bike positioning, so I think that was the reason why. I did, however, get me a new nice little frame and will be getting some pictures of it up as soon as I can.
Other than that, BIG month of racing coming up this month. The next 3 weekends have 3 endurance races, the Wilderness 101, 24 Hours of Great Glen and the Hampshire 100k. It is finally time to put all this training to good use and see how high on the podium my legs can get me.
First off this weekend, is the Wilderness 101. Time to head back down to my old stomping grounds, Penn State and State College, and race the bike through the woods for 101 miles. I can’t wait.
