Legs feeling sluggish

As a bit of motivation for the tail end of this season, I decided to throw my $10.00 in and join in the Fat Cyclist Weight Loss Competition for some Ergon Grips.  I think this will help a bit to keep me on the bike every day.  So for this entire week, I will be commuting to work via my bike.  Now I say that like it is something that is REALLY impressive, it isn’t.  If I take the road, it is 1.5 miles, which takes me roughly 6 minutes each way.  Instead of that, I usually take the 15 minute stretch of single track.  It is much more interesting than almost getting run over by trucks on the way in.

At 8:45 I took off out of my front door and it was a bit chilly, 32 degrees to be exact.  Fortunately, I had all my winter gear on so luckily, I built up quite a sweat by the time I got here.  However, all morning, then the commute back home for lunch and back from lunch, the legs had no snap.  It felt like I am just out there turning the pedals.  I have no speed to it.  Ohh well, it will come around hopefully tomorrow.  I am trying to organize a night ride for sometime this weekend and I wouldn’t mind being able to go hard that night.  Either way, I am outside pedaling and not inside on the trainer.
