I have always wanted Jan Ulrich to beat Armstrong in the tour.  Every year leading up, I would keep track of his progress, and his weight gain/loss, and always thought “this is his year.  This is the year Ulrich will return to greatness and take the title away from Armstrong”.  In 2006, they linked him to the Operation Puerto case and he retired.  Since that day, he has kept his innocent plea going, but really, I think enough is enough.   As much as I really want to believe he is innocent, admit to it and get it over with…
