So got back out on the bike today for the second time since the big 24 hour race. We went out for a little under 2 hours and it was a good time. The group of people I went with has a tendency of picking rough trails. For example, we hiked the bikes up a hill for about 25 minutes. Not my idea of actually “riding” a bike. It had nothing to do with fitness, but the steepness and terrain of the trail. In fact, I had the bike on my shoulder for some of it as it was actually too hard to push some things. I guess the positive side of it is carrying the bike was good practice for the up and coming cyclocross season I am preparing for.
On a side note, I am thinking about getting myself a lawyer and sticking it to the man at the local hospital. I have had some back pain for quite some time now and went to the Dr. to get it figured out. After they took my x-rays my Dr. told me he doesn’t look at them because they don’t tell him anything (good thing they fired all kinds of rays into my body). He just gave me 2 bottles of pills to take. They didn’t do anything. Went back, gave me 2 different bottles of pills. Again, nothing. I was starting to give up on the quack. When the urologist told me 6 months later that he found a kidney stone on those original X-rays, I thought a lot of the pain could have been helped many moons ago. I have waited for some time after the stone removal and still haven’t had one bit of pain, even after spending the 11 hours on the bike at the 24 hour race. Either way, I think I am in the market to find an attorney and see what I can make happen. Guess the big question is where to start in looking for a good lawyer in the area….
