Killer Workout

So tonight I did a killer workout. It was the Spinervals #19: Bending Crank Arms and I must say it was one heck of a workout. Half of the time you are on the bike pushing the hardest gear you can for specified lengths of time, and the rest of the time you are off the bike doing squats, and holding the squat position for up to a minute at a time. This workout is designed to build leg strength and boy, I must be a wussy cause this one hurt. I was grunting and moaning the whole time I was off the bike. I said it before, and I will say it again. I know some of the people I want to embarrass on the bike aren’t putting in this time of quality time and that is the reason I am doing it.

As well as the workout, I decided to give my Timex heart rate monitor another shot. I didn’t have much luck with it before, but that was mostly the GPS feature of it. I watched the monitor and it seemed to be pretty accurate with my efforts. Yep, just what I thought. I need a whole lot more work.
