Yes, it has been a few days, but I am extremely busy at this point in time. With work, we are getting ready to go to the Sea Otter Classic which is a national bike race for all kinds of biking: road, mountain, downhill, 4 cross…you name it, they have it. It is pretty much the first big race of the year. I have also been working on moving into a new house. So I have been there every night and morning working on painting it before I move in. What a pain, but it certainly needed it and will look real good when I am done with it. So training has taken a back seat for the past couple days, but the weight is slowly coming off and/or maintaining at a constant spot due to my diet. I still have the ideas for the new design, and maybe on the next couple of plane rides to California for the race I will get a chance to do it…or maybe I’ll just sleep….
Ok, I updated the site tonight in the gallery section. I posted the pics of my QBP trip to Minnesota, and my trip to Laguna Hills, CA.
As far as the training parts, I haven’t updated it because I really dont like the design of it. Plus I made a few changes to the plan. I stopped counting calories. That isn’t always the most important thing. I eat much healthier now, but some of the things I eat don’t have many calories. I can eat 2 crowns of brocolli and half a head of cauliflower with some chicken and still have a low calorie count. The issues I have is the size of the meal. Smaller portions will equal lower calories. So that is what I will do.
I also came up with a redesign of the training pages, so those will be coming in the next day or 2. I had some things to do tonight, and wanted to get the pics up there, so watch for some updated pages in the next few days.
ok, so I’m a little slow on the updates. Weekends can be a little difficult for me because of not being near a computer, plus I don’t really like the exercise pages. So I will be looking into designing something different.
I can say though that I hit my training time totals for the week, but not the expected weight loss. I am slowly learning that dieting and losing weight for an even like this needs to be taken seriously 7 days a week not just 5, even if St. Patty’s Day is in there. I can see there is a long road ahead of me.
Well stab two at web site design. I started this to be my training log for the upcoming Jay Peak Challenge. So that is the basis of this site. I am sure from time to time I will post some other odds and ends, things that just need to be said, but mostly I will try to relate everything to my job with Active Sports Group and Team Michelin and the up coming race and my training leading to the race.
So there it is. A new start on a new website. Sure it might not be the most eye appealing site out there, but it will certainly serve its purpose, to help me race and possibly win the Jay Peak Challenge.
